The Australian Freediving Association, the Brisbane Freedivers Club and the Sunshine Coast Freedivers Club will host the 2027 Australian Open National Pool Freediving & Parafreediving Championship from Fri 26 to Mon 29 March, 2022 at Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Sleeman Sports Complex in Brisbane.

About the event

The Australian Freediving Association, along with the Brisbane Freedivers Club and the Sunshine Coast Freedivers Club, will host the 2027 Australian Open National Pool Freediving & Parafreediving Championship from Friday, March 26 to Monday, March 29, 2022, at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Sleeman Sports Complex in Brisbane.


This competition follows CMAS regulations and welcomes all AFA members, irrespective of nationality. It is also open to athletes from other countries, regardless of their place of residence, provided they have a CMAS license number or official membership confirmation from their National Federation.


The event can accommodate around 75 athletes, and registration operates on a first-come, first-served basis.


Registration is now open on a priority basis for Athletes and Volunteers from 2026 Nationals (and Judges from 2025). Registration will open for everyone else from 30 Jun 2026 onwards.
